Ishando AMCOS operates from the vibrant region of Southern Tanzania, where its cooperative was established in 2018. With a focus on increasing both the quality and quantity of their coffee, Ishando has embraced modern processing techniques, combining tradition with innovation.
The cherries are harvested by 115 dedicated farmers from villages including Shaji, Ndolezi, and Igunda, before undergoing a meticulous sorting and fermentation process. The fully washed beans are carefully graded and are then dried on raised tables for up to 14 days, ensuring a consistent, high-quality cup.
The Producers
Ishando AMCOS began with just 25 members in 2018 and has since grown to support 115 passionate farmers. Over the years, the cooperative has invested in new processing technology, including the introduction of a pulper machine, while also focusing on sustainable practices to increase both yield and coffee quality. The cooperative members are committed to improving their practices and are dedicated to producing the best coffee possible, ensuring every cup reflects the care and effort of its growers.
